Life Underwriting Specialist

Job Summary

As an entry-level Life Underwriting Specialist, the full-time remote position will build relationships with Financial Advisors and internal partners while developing underwriting skills through a comprehensive training program focused on risk assessment and client service.

Key responsibilities:

• Analyze and appraise insurance applications, making classification decisions with guidance
• Communicate effectively with field partners regarding underwriting decisions and assist in policy placement
• Manage case requirements and maintain adherence to quality, service, and production goals

Required qualifications:

• A bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to make independent decisions
• Proficiency in computer skills and various software packages
• Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team and independent production environment
