Linux Engineer
Job Summary
Supporting Linux server strategy and operational efficiency, the full-time Linux Engineer will manage deployment, troubleshooting, and optimization of Linux environments while participating in after-hours on-call rotation, with options for hybrid or remote work arrangements.
Key responsibilities
- Support Linux server strategy, deployment, and optimization while participating in infrastructure project development
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve operational system and software issues related to Linux environments, including security audits
- Respond to service interruptions and participate in root cause analysis to improve reliability and efficiency of Linux systems
Required qualifications
- Strong experience in RedHat Linux
- 2+ years of experience in cloud-based Linux deployment, preferably on AWS or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
- Working knowledge of technologies such as Terraform, Apache HTTPD, Tomcat, and OpenSSL
- Ability to interpret and apply security requirements to infrastructure and platform solutions
