Job Summary
To enhance security protocols within enterprise systems, the remote Principal Linux Security Engineer will focus on developing security errata, compliance profiles, and proactive security measures while building tools to streamline processes and integrate AI for improved efficiency.
Key responsibilities
- Develop and implement security errata and compliance profiles for the Linux operating system
- Build and optimize Ansible scripts to apply security profiles and improve OpenSCAP
- Create tools to enhance security measures and facilitate faster development and testing processes
Required qualifications
- Proven work experience in Security and/or Linux Engineering with a focus on the Linux OS
- At least 4 years of experience in Linux security
- A minimum of 2 years of experience building Linux packages
- Strong understanding of CVE scoring and affectedness
- Experience with security tools and methodologies, including STIG, DIS profiles, and SELinux
