Linux System Administrator
Job Summary
Managing the entire LinuxONE infrastructure across multiple data centers, the remote Unix Linux System Administrator will oversee deployment, administration, and client interactions for IBM LinuxONE systems.
Key responsibilities
- Administer and maintain the LinuxONE estate across four physical locations and eight Emperor 5 systems
- Engage in client-facing communications, conducting requirements analysis and presenting technical solutions to executive management
- Lead technical teams in architecting and implementing Linux migration solutions while ensuring robust system performance
Required qualifications
- 8+ years of experience deploying and/or administering Linux on IBM zSystems or LinuxONE
- 5+ years of experience with Redhat, Canonical Ubuntu, or SUSE Linux distributions
- 5+ years of experience working with Redhat OpenShift
- 5+ years of experience administering Linux systems, including installation, maintenance, and networking
- 5+ years of experience with the IBM Hardware Management Console (HMC)
