Job Summary
Seeking an experienced Loads Engineer - Weapon Performance IV/V, the full-time position will focus on leading system-level structural analysis and numerical simulations for air-launched effects, tactical interceptors, and next-generation munitions, collaborating closely with cross-functional teams in a dynamic environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Assemble and maintain full-vehicle structural models for loads and vibration analysis
- Perform MIL-STD-8591-type store carriage, suspension, and separation loads analysis
- Guide ground testing and validate structural models against test data
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field; Master's degree preferred
- 8+ years of experience in system-level structural and dynamics analysis using complex numerical simulation
- Experience with full-vehicle finite element modeling (e.g., NASTRAN/PATRAN, ANSYS)
- Proficiency in aeroelastic analysis using tools like ZAERO or NASTRAN
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. DoD Secret security clearance
