Job Summary

To support accurate local election coverage, the full-time remote Local Expansion Staff Researcher will conduct research and outreach to gather official election documents, ingest data into the database, and monitor changes in election calendars.

Key responsibilities

• Research reliable sources and conduct outreach to gather official election documents for local contests
• Process and ingest election and candidate data into the database, ensuring accuracy and completeness
• Monitor changes to election schedules and maintain databases to enhance the quality of election coverage

Required qualifications

• Passion for elections and commitment to providing neutral, fact-based coverage
• Excellent research skills with the ability to locate and organize information effectively
• Resourcefulness and curiosity to investigate and communicate findings beyond existing processes
• Strong attention to detail and ability to summarize complex concepts accurately
• Experience using tools such as Google Chrome, Docs, and Sheets for data management
