Job Summary

Rooted in one of the launch cities, the full-time Remote Local Newsletters Editor will manage the day-to-day operations of at least two newsletters, collaborating with reporters to shape content, drive audience engagement, and experiment with formats while ensuring high-quality journalism.

Key responsibilities:

• Edit and produce The Local newsletters, including story selection and line-editing
• Collaborate with reporters and the Local team to shape newsletter tone and content, experimenting with formats
• Grow audience engagement through social media, partnerships, and community events

Required qualifications:

• 8+ years of experience in digital journalism or storytelling, including editing
• Proven news judgment and experience covering a range of topics including breaking news and features
• Experience with newsletters and social media, with a passion for both
• Fluency with analytics tools to derive actionable insights
• Demonstrated initiative in landing digital media projects
