Localization Specialist
Job Summary
To enhance the Brazilian Portuguese experience of a global learning platform, the part-time Localization Specialist will translate, review, and adapt content while collaborating with engineering teams and ensuring technical accuracy in a remote capacity.
Key responsibilities
- Translate, review, and adapt platform texts, ensuring clarity and cultural relevance for Brazilian users
- Monitor the implementation of translations in the product, checking for context and formatting issues
- Identify and report localization technical problems, collaborating with engineering for resolution
Required qualifications
- Native Brazilian Portuguese speaker with excellent writing and editing skills
- Advanced English proficiency for understanding original materials and communicating with international teams
- Prior experience in translation and/or localization of digital products
- General technical vision of digital products and basic understanding of software development concepts
- Familiarity with localization concepts such as variables, character limits, and common translation files (JSON, XML, .po)
