Long Term Disability Claims Advocate

Job Summary

Managing a workload of Long-Term Disability claims, the full-time remote Long Term Disability Claims Advocate will conduct interviews with claimants, review medical records, and make ethical claim determinations in accordance with established guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Communicate with claimants, employers, and medical professionals to gather information regarding Long Term Disability claims
• Collaborate with case managers and consulting physicians to ensure appropriate and timely claim determinations
• Review complex medical records and utilize various tools to plan future actions throughout the claim's lifecycle

Required qualifications

• High School diploma or GED, or minimum Associate degree in lieu of required experience
• 3-5 years of claims experience directly aligned with the role's responsibilities, or 0-1 year for candidates with an Associate degree
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task
• Experience with disability and/or absence management is a plus
