Job Summary
Working remotely, the full-time Loss Mitigation Specialist will evaluate borrower financials, counsel delinquent borrowers on home retention or liquidation options, and ensure compliance with investor and regulatory requirements.
Key responsibilities
- Review and validate borrower financial packages for compliance and accuracy prior to underwriting evaluation
- Process and monitor workout options according to investor guidelines, ensuring adherence to timelines and eligibility criteria
- Communicate effectively with borrowers and stakeholders to develop sustainable workout strategies tailored to individual circumstances
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 3 years of experience in mortgage loss mitigation and related default servicing
- Knowledge of investor and insurer loss mitigation guidelines preferred
- Experience with ICE Mortgage Technology platforms, including MSP, is highly preferred
- Certification in credit counseling, collections, or mortgage servicing is a plus but not required
