Job Summary
Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Loss Mitigation Underwriter I will underwrite Loan Modification applications in accordance with Treasury, Company, and Investor guidelines, while ensuring compliance with legal and policy requirements under general supervision.
Key responsibilities
- Perform thorough analyses to assess loan quality and compliance with guidelines
- Conduct Verification of Income (VOI) and calculate debt-to-income ratios
- Document final underwriting decisions and update the system of record accordingly
Required qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1 to 2 years of underwriting loss mitigation experience required
