Machine Learning Engineer

Job Summary

Working remotely, the full-time Machine Learning Engineer will manage the entire model lifecycle on AWS SageMaker, focusing on data exploration, training, validation, release, and monitoring of machine learning models to support educational assessments.

Key responsibilities

• Explore and analyze data to ensure model robustness and accuracy
• Train, validate, and deploy machine learning models, ensuring a defendable lineage for each release
• Monitor model performance and propose improvements based on production feedback

Required qualifications

• A Master's or PhD in a quantitative field, such as statistics or psychometrics, with three or more years of relevant experience
• Proficiency in Python, including experience with CI/CD processes and infrastructure as code
• Strong foundation in statistics and exploratory data analysis
• Experience with AWS, particularly SageMaker, and familiarity with experiment tracking tools like MLflow
• Excellent writing skills for clear communication of analyses and model documentation
