Machine Learning Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a full-time remote Machine Learning Engineer, the candidate will build tools and systems for drug discovery research, focusing on automation, infrastructure, data integration, and machine learning model development.
Key responsibilities
- Build reliable scientific workflows that can be run, reproduced, and troubleshot with minimal manual intervention
- Integrate new models and datasets while ensuring data correctness and compatibility with ongoing experiments
- Improve compute workflows by enhancing job submission, monitoring, failure recovery, and artifact tracking
Required qualifications
- Strong proficiency in Python and software engineering fundamentals, including data structures and systematic debugging
- Experience in building or supporting machine learning or scientific computing workflows, with a must-have knowledge of PyTorch
- Familiarity with running software on Linux, working with containers, and utilizing CI/CD for automated testing
- Ability to independently tackle ambiguous problems and communicate technical tradeoffs effectively
- Willingness to engage across automation, infrastructure, data, and machine learning with a strong sense of ownership
