Job Summary
To develop and deploy machine learning algorithms for processing satellite imagery, the full-time Machine Learning Engineer will build robust data pipelines and production inference systems while collaborating with domain experts and engineering teams in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement data pipelines for geospatial imagery and metadata, ensuring reliable data movement between annotation, storage, and model training systems
- Develop, adapt, and deploy machine learning models to automate annotation processes and evaluate model performance against labeled data
- Manage production systems, including debugging, observability, and secure configuration while maintaining data lineage and versioning
Required qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in machine learning engineering, data engineering, or backend software engineering
- Hands-on experience with modern ML frameworks for training and deploying deep learning models
- Experience building and operating services on major cloud platforms, including data and ML pipeline orchestration
- Strong Python application development skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Data Engineering, Geospatial Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
