Machine Learning Engineer

Job Summary

To support innovative climate solutions, the full-time remote Machine Learning Engineer / Data Scientist will design and build data systems, develop models for policy analysis, and create knowledge graphs to optimize renewable energy deployment and climate interventions.

Key responsibilities

• Build LLM-powered knowledge graphs and structured datasets from various data sources, ensuring data provenance and expert validation
• Design, train, and deploy machine learning models for evaluating policy effectiveness and matching climate solutions to communities
• Develop reproducible pipelines for model training and deployment while monitoring model performance and data quality

Required qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in data science and ML engineering, preferably within GCP/AWS/Azure ecosystems
• Strong proficiency in LLM application design, Python, and SQL
• Hands-on experience with unstructured data sources including municipal records and government datasets
• Proven ability to navigate ambiguous climate policy and energy environments
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with policy experts and stakeholders
