Job Summary

Working remotely in a full-time capacity, the Machine Learning Researcher will investigate learning algorithms and training methodologies to enhance model capabilities, focusing on advanced post-training methods and experimental design.

Key responsibilities

• Research and implement advanced post-training methods, including supervised fine-tuning and reinforcement learning across large models
• Design and conduct rigorous experiments to measure model performance and generalization on downstream tasks
• Develop training recipes by optimizing data mixtures, sampling strategies, and evaluation methodologies

Required qualifications

• Strong foundations in machine learning, deep learning, and optimization techniques
• Hands-on experience with training and fine-tuning large-scale language or multimodal models
• Deep technical expertise in areas such as reinforcement learning or model distillation
• Proficiency in Python and PyTorch for implementing and optimizing training pipelines
• Experience designing controlled experiments and translating findings into actionable research directions
