macOS Security Researcher

Job Summary

Leading product research initiatives, the full-time remote Principal macOS Security Researcher will develop and evaluate macOS security product strategies, prototype new telemetry, and analyze macOS attacks while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead product research to develop macOS security strategies and technologies
• Reproduce and analyze macOS attacks and reverse engineer macOS malware to identify coverage gaps
• Document research findings and collaborate with Detection Engineering on writing and tuning detectors

Required qualifications:

• Deep expertise in macOS system internals and security models
• Hands-on experience with Apple's Endpoint Security API and system extension development
• Authority on macOS security threats and attack techniques
• Proficiency in Swift, with additional knowledge of Go, Python, or Ruby preferred
• Experience with the MITRE ATT&CK matrix and building proof-of-concept implementations
