Job Summary
To support the Master of Science in Applied Nutrition program, the part-time Maine Licensed Adjunct Faculty in Nutrition will facilitate online instruction, guide students through their educational experience, and engage with course content while maintaining a positive learning environment.
Key responsibilities
- Guide students through their educational experience while upholding the commitment to student success
- Provide timely responses to student inquiries within 24 hours and facilitate class instruction by engaging in the online course portal at least 5 times per week
- Host virtual office hours and post weekly announcements to enhance course content
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in Nutrition or a related field and current Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) Licensure
- Experience teaching online in an educational setting with expertise in curriculum development and assessment
- A passion for teaching Nutrition science and a desire to motivate students in academic and professional settings
- Experience using the Brightspace/D2L Learning Management system
- Preferred experience in teaching research methods and statistics
