Job Summary
To support the Master of Science in Applied Nutrition program, the part-time Maine Licensed Adjunct Nutrition Faculty will guide students through their educational experience, provide timely responses to inquiries, and facilitate online instruction while engaging with the course portal regularly.
Key responsibilities
- Guide students to ensure they achieve their educational and professional goals while promoting student success
- Provide timely responses to student inquiries within 24 hours and host virtual office hours weekly
- Engage in the online course portal a minimum of 5 times per week and post weekly announcements to enhance course content
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in Nutrition or a related field and current Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN) Licensure
- Experience teaching online in an educational setting with expertise in curriculum development and assessment
- Desire to motivate and encourage students in academic and professional settings
- Familiarity with the Brightspace/D2L Learning Management system
- Preferred experience in teaching research methods and statistics
