Job Summary
Providing comprehensive counseling services to students, the part-time Maine Licensed School Counselor will conduct individual and group sessions, collaborate with educators and parents, and support students' academic and career development in a remote capacity.
Key responsibilities
- Provide individual and group counseling to address academic, personal, and social development needs
- Conduct assessments and develop interventions to support students' strengths and needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to create a supportive school environment
Required qualifications
- Master's degree in School Counseling, Counseling Psychology, or a related field from an accredited program
- Current state licensure or certification as a School Counselor or eligibility for licensure
- Previous experience as a School Counselor in an educational setting (preferred)
- Strong understanding of child and adolescent development and mental health issues
- Proficiency in assessment, crisis intervention, and counseling techniques
