Job Summary
Providing strategic leadership in pharmacy operations, the full-time Maine Licensed VP Pharmacy Services will oversee all pharmacy-related activities, manage vendor relationships, and ensure compliance with regulations while working remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Directs pharmacy operations including formulary management, medication adherence, and vendor oversight to achieve financial and quality targets
- Ensures compliance with payer, regulatory, and accreditation standards, including preparation for the CMS MA bid process
- Establishes performance metrics and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care outcomes and operational efficiency
Required qualifications
- BS Pharmacy or PharmD required; PharmD and MBA preferred
- Maine and New Hampshire pharmacy license (or eligible)
- 10 years of experience in managed care and retail pharmacy settings
- Experience with pharmacy vendor management and Medicare bid development
- Strong knowledge of Medicare Part D regulations and pharmacy benefit design
