To support ongoing projects, the contract Mainframe Application Developer will design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement mainframe applications based on project requirements
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot and resolve application issues
- Maintain and optimize existing mainframe systems for improved performance
Required qualifications
- Experience with mainframe programming languages such as COBOL or PL/I
- Familiarity with database management systems, particularly DB2
- Understanding of mainframe operating systems and environments
- Previous experience in application development within an IT services context
- Relevant degree or equivalent experience in computer science or a related field
