Job Summary
Supporting a large-scale mainframe modernization initiative, the contract Mainframe Business Analyst will elicit, document, and validate business and functional requirements while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders in a remote setting.
Key responsibilities
- Lead requirements elicitation and documentation for complex application modernization and data migration efforts
- Analyze and reverse engineer legacy mainframe functionality to capture current-state processes and translate them into future-state needs
- Develop and maintain artifacts such as process flows, use cases, traceability, and functional/design documentation
Required qualifications
- 10+ years of business analysis experience supporting software development projects and producing project documentation
- Strong requirements elicitation and documentation skills, including use cases and data modeling
- Experience facilitating interactive sessions with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Proven ability to create clear design/process documentation
- Experience working with oil & gas regulatory systems such as RBDMS or related platforms
