Job Summary
To support a large-scale mainframe modernization initiative, the contract Mainframe Business Analyst will work remotely to elicit, document, and validate business and functional requirements while collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders to improve processes and support testing activities.
Key responsibilities:
- Lead requirements elicitation and documentation for complex application modernization and data migration efforts
- Analyze and reverse engineer legacy mainframe functionality to capture current-state processes and translate them into future-state needs
- Support UAT planning/execution and troubleshoot production/support issues through root-cause analysis
Required qualifications:
- 10+ years of business analysis experience supporting software development projects
- Strong requirements elicitation and documentation skills, including use cases and data modeling
- Experience facilitating interactive sessions with business stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Proven ability to create clear design/process documentation
- Experience working with oil & gas regulatory systems such as RBDMS or similar platforms
