Mainframe Developer
Job Summary
A company is looking for a Mainframe Developer for a contract role.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain applications on mainframe platforms such as IBM Z/OS, CICS, JCL, DB2, TSO, and VSAM
- Review existing code for functionality and provide recommendations for modernization
- Analyze and resolve complex system issues while influencing technical and strategic decisions
Required Qualifications
- Proficiency in COBOL and mainframe development environments
- Deep understanding of software development lifecycles and process optimization
- Experience with risk analysis and legacy system assessment
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps methodologies is a plus
- Background in financial services or regulated industries is preferred
