Job Summary
Working remotely on a contract basis, the Mainframe Developer will analyze and extend legacy Enterprise COBOL and Natural applications within an IBM z/OS environment to support composite reservoir accounts while ensuring data integrity and reliable production changes.
Key responsibilities:
- Analyze and enhance legacy applications to facilitate the consolidation and distribution of balances from subsidiary accounts
- Develop and support JCL and financial/accounting applications, ensuring compliance with defined business rules
- Trace undocumented business logic and modify existing applications without disrupting current processing cycles
Required qualifications:
- Hands-on experience in Enterprise COBOL development within an IBM z/OS mainframe environment
- Proficiency with NaturalOne and experience in developing and debugging Natural programs
- Experience with JCL, including procedures and batch processing
- Strong understanding of financial accounting processes and application maintenance
- Familiarity with Adabas, VSAM, and TSO/ISPF operations
