Mainframe Engineer
Job Summary
Seeking a skilled Mainframe Engineer, the full-time remote position will manage and enhance critical mainframe applications using technologies such as COBOL, CICS, JCL, DB2, and VSAM while providing technical leadership and support to junior team members.
Key responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain mainframe applications and perform performance tuning and optimization
- Provide technical troubleshooting and resolution for complex application and integration issues
- Develop technical documentation and guide junior team members in best practices
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 3-5 years of experience in mainframe application development, support, and maintenance
- Proficiency in mainframe technologies including COBOL, JCL, CICS, DB2, and VSAM
- Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies
- Must be a US Citizen or US Green Card Holder
