Job Summary
To support a major Insurance client, the full-time Mainframe Microfocus Developer will build applications using Microfocus technologies, attend client meetings to gather requirements, and perform coding and testing activities in a hybrid work environment.
Key responsibilities
- Attend client meetings to understand requirements and provide technical solutions for building applications in Mainframe and Microfocus
- Analyze existing programs and develop new programs based on business requirements, ensuring efficiency and flexibility
- Conduct code and design reviews, perform unit testing and user acceptance testing, and provide support during production rollouts
Required qualifications
- Minimum 8+ years of mainframe development experience using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS
- At least 3+ years of experience in Microfocus
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
- Experience in technical specification documentation and system dependency analysis
- Familiarity with testing methodologies for SIT and UAT processes
