Mainframe Programmer
Job Summary
Seeking two Mainframe Programmers for a long-term remote contract position, the successful candidates will focus on new COBOL development, troubleshoot production issues, and adhere to corporate policies for fixes and deployments.
Key responsibilities:
- Develop new COBOL applications and troubleshoot production problems in an enterprise environment
- Follow corporate policies and procedures to fix, test, and deploy solutions into the production environment
- Utilize tools such as Endevor, TSO/ISPF, File-aid, and Abend-aid for mainframe development tasks
Required qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience as a COBOL developer or mainframe systems analyst
- Proficiency in COBOL, DB2, CICS, and SQL
- Permanent authorization to work in the USA for any employer
- Experience with mainframe development tools like Endevor, TSO/ISPF, File-aid, and Abend-aid
- Knowledge of Assembler coding and IMS databases is a plus
