Mainframe Systems Programmer
Job Summary
Providing premium software support and services, the full-time remote Mainframe Systems Programmer will manage customer service requests, troubleshoot IMS-related issues, and support migration services for mainframe z/OS clients.
Key responsibilities
- Fulfill customer service requests and provide primary support for IMS and related OEM software products
- Assist in the migration of new customers, ensuring technical hurdles are addressed promptly
- Execute tasks associated with customer disaster recovery plans and adhere to ITSM change control procedures
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 12+ years of professional experience in IMS administration and systems programming support
- Extensive knowledge of IMS database organization and related utilities
- Strong JCL skills and experience troubleshooting production database issues
- Experience configuring and managing IMS in a parallel sysplex environment
