Mainframe Systems Programmer
Job Summary
Providing premium software support and services remotely, the full-time Mainframe Systems Programmer will manage installation, testing, and implementation of operating systems and software related to CICS and WAS, while also maintaining and debugging systems software for mainframe clients.
Key responsibilities
- Fulfill customer service orders for mainframe z/OS customers related to CICS TS and OEM software products
- Provide primary support for issues related to CICS TS/WAS and assist in customer migration services
- Monitor and tune systems software, ensuring compliance with ITSM change control procedures
Required qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of experience on the zSeries platform, specifically with CICS TS/WAS and OEM product support
- Thorough knowledge of CICS TS capabilities and IBM's SMP/E
- Strong analytical skills related to CICS TS concepts and configuration
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks under pressure
