Make Ready Designer

Job Summary

Working remotely with potential local field responsibilities, the Make Ready Designer will manage electric utility aerial Make Ready projects, including field surveying, design documentation, and collaboration with project teams to ensure high-quality infrastructure solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate design and preparation of Make Ready projects, including bill of materials and permit applications
• Perform field inspections and evaluations of electrical systems for outside plant design
• Produce detailed design documentation and implement design modifications for quality improvements

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in electrical distribution system design
• 2 years of experience with AutoCAD in a Telcom and distribution design engineering environment
• Experience with pole loading software such as Katapult
• Familiarity with National Electric Code (NEC) and National Electric Safety Code (NESC)
• Must possess a valid driver's license with a clean driving record for the past 5 years
