Job Summary
Leading a team of researchers, the full-time salaried Manager of AI Research will design and oversee studies to evaluate the reliability, validity, and fairness of AI-enabled features, while representing the organization in various forums and managing research partnerships remotely.
Key responsibilities
- Lead research efforts to produce evidence on AI-enabled features' reliability and fairness
- Design and oversee validation approaches for automated scoring and algorithmic decision support
- Manage university and third-party research partnerships, ensuring high standards for quality and ethics
Required qualifications
- Doctorate in psychometrics, quantitative psychology, educational measurement, statistics, data science, AI evaluation, or a related field
- 8+ years of experience in psychometric analysis, measurement science, AI research, or data science
- 2-3 years of experience managing complex research projects and leading a team
- Experience designing or overseeing research for AI-enabled features and automated scoring
- Familiarity with AERA/NCME/APA Standards for Educational and Psychological Testing
