Manager of Payer Relations

Job Summary

To support a growing behavioral healthcare organization, the full-time remote Manager of Payer Relations will manage payer relationship strategies, oversee contract negotiations, and ensure compliance with credentialing processes across multiple markets.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strategic relationships with payer representatives and network leaders to enhance reimbursement and patient access
• Lead the full lifecycle of payer contracting, including negotiation, evaluation, and operational implementation of contracts
• Oversee credentialing, recredentialing, and compliance processes to ensure all facilities and providers meet regulatory requirements

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, health management, or related field
• Minimum of five years of experience in managed care contracting and provider credentialing
• At least three years of experience in hospital and/or payer negotiation and analysis
• Knowledge of fee-for-service and fee-for-value reimbursement methods
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
