Manager of Property Accounting

Job Summary

Leading the Property Accounting Operations team, the full-time Manager of Property Accounting will oversee the month-end close process, manage complex property accounting tasks, and collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate and scalable financial operations in a remote environment.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the operational lead for Property Accounting, managing the overall month-end close across property issuers
• Oversee cash accounting and reconciliation processes, ensuring accurate reflection of cash activity in the books
• Partner with cross-functional teams to establish accounting processes for new property-related products and initiatives

Required qualifications

• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally in real estate
• Experience leading accounting operations and managing month-end close processes
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial statement preparation
• Experience managing accounting across multiple entities or complex investment portfolios
• Demonstrated ability to investigate complex accounting issues and drive solutions independently
