Job Summary

Overseeing the development of Speaking test items and ancillary materials for large-scale English language proficiency assessments, the full-time Manager of Speaking Test Development will manage test development staff, provide feedback on test items, and collaborate with cross-functional teams, with the option to work remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the test development process, including item writing, review, and approval for the Speaking test
• Collaborate with teams to create project plans, timelines, and scoring materials for assessments
• Conduct quality checks and oversee field testing and research related to the Speaking test

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with five years of relevant experience or Master's degree with two years of relevant experience in a related field
• Expertise in developing large-scale spoken English language proficiency assessments for K-12 multilingual learners
• Experience supervising test item development in a high-stakes context
• Familiarity with K-12 education standards and practices for multilingual learners
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and work management platforms like Smartsheet
