Manager, Payroll and Equity Accounting

Job Summary

Leading payroll operations in a fully remote environment, the full-time salaried Manager, Payroll and Equity Accounting will oversee multi-state payroll processes, manage equity compensation accounting, and ensure compliance and accuracy in payroll functions.

Key responsibilities

• Own and lead full-cycle, multi-state U.S. payroll operations, including incentive-based and equity-related payments
• Establish and manage payroll workflows, ensuring accurate and timely processing in accordance with established controls
• Partner with cross-functional teams to resolve payroll discrepancies and ensure synchronization of employee and compensation data

Required qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
• Seven years of progressive payroll experience in a multi-state payroll function, preferably in a publicly traded or regulated environment
• Experience with equity-related payroll events and stock-based compensation accounting
• Hands-on expertise with payroll platforms such as Rippling or ADP
• Experience managing payroll-related SOX controls and leading payroll audit support
