Job Summary
Leading the design, development, and delivery of scalable data solutions, the fully remote Managing Engineer, Data Engineering will mentor Data Engineers, promote engineering excellence, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure high-performing data products.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and coach Data Engineers while promoting a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement
- Design, develop, and support scalable batch and streaming data solutions, integrating data from various sources
- Establish engineering standards and optimize data pipelines for performance and cost-effectiveness
Required Qualifications
- 5 or more years of experience designing and developing data solutions or enterprise software systems
- Strong hands-on experience with data pipelines using Python, Java, Scala, or similar programming languages
- Experience with Apache Spark, Apache Kafka, and data modeling concepts
- Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases, along with automated testing and DevOps practices
- Demonstrated ability to provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams
