Mandarin Consecutive Interpreter

Job Summary

To support effective communication, the contracted Chinese Mandarin Consecutive Interpreter will provide interpretation services during phone calls and meetings, ensuring clarity and understanding in a remote setting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide consecutive interpretation services during phone calls, meetings, and interviews
• Listen to the speaker in the source language and accurately convey the message in the target language
• Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and cultural sensitivity throughout the interpretation process

Required qualifications

• Proficiency in Mandarin Chinese and English
• For non-native Mandarin speakers, HSK Level 5 or 6 certification is required
• Proof of English language proficiency with a "Technical Proficiency" rating under the national ILR scale or equivalent
• Completion of a Mock Call assessment with a passing score
• Technical infrastructure including a headset, stable internet connection, and laptop
