Job Summary

Offering a remote, full-time opportunity, the Marine Claims Adjuster will manage minimal to moderately complex marine inside property and liability claims, requiring thorough investigations and negotiations, with exposures primarily up to $25,000.

Key responsibilities

• Handle and resolve marine claims related to various programs, including Residential Builders Risk and Fine Art & Valuables
• Conduct thorough investigations and evaluations of claims, identifying potentially suspicious cases
• Utilize technical knowledge to make informed decisions and negotiate settlements effectively

Required qualifications

• Associate degree required; bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent experience
• 2-3 years of relevant experience in claim handling
• Must possess or obtain appropriate state adjuster license(s) and continuing education credits
• Demonstrated understanding of Marine and Inland Marine classes of business
• Ability to read and interpret business contracts effectively
