Marketing and Communications Manager

Job Summary

To shape the narrative of a pioneering social media platform, the full-time Marketing and Communications Manager will own the storytelling process, create content, manage campaigns, and build relationships with journalists and creators while working remotely with overlap to PST hours.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own Bluesky's story across press and various channels, proactively pitching stories and co-creating ideas with journalists and creators
• Create content such as posts, videos, and explainers, while managing speaking opportunities for company leaders
• Plan and execute launches and campaigns for new features, ensuring consistent brand voice and managing outside partners

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience in communications, marketing, content, or media, preferably in tech or social
• A portfolio showcasing impactful content, stories, and campaigns
• Established relationships with journalists and creators, with a proactive approach to collaboration
• Exceptional writing and editing skills, adaptable to various platforms and audiences
• Experience in fast-paced environments with a proven ability to navigate crises effectively
