Job Summary
Advising the President and CEO, the part-time Maryland Licensed Controller will oversee outside accounting firms, review financial reporting for accuracy, and provide actionable guidance on budgeting, cash flow, and profitability in a fully remote environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee outside accounting and tax firms, coordinating close schedules and ensuring quality and timeliness of deliverables
- Review financial statements and reconciliations for accuracy and completeness
- Advise leadership on cash flow, budgeting, forecasting, and contract profitability
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
- 7+ years of accounting experience, including 3+ years in a Controller or senior accounting role
- Experience with federal government contracting accounting and DCAA audit support
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting processes
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with cloud or government contracting accounting systems
