Job Summary

To support growing organizations, the Maryland Licensed Fractional Controller will manage the monthly close process, produce actionable financial statements, and enforce internal controls in a remote, contract role.

Key responsibilities

• Own the monthly close process for a portfolio of clients, ensuring accuracy and audit-readiness
• Produce financial statements and management reports that facilitate client decision-making
• Monitor internal controls and support compliance for GovCon and nonprofit clients

Required qualifications

• 5 to 12 years of accounting or finance experience with direct ownership of the close process
• Hands-on experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls
• Exposure to government contracting compliance or nonprofit accounting is a strong plus
• Ability to work across multiple client environments simultaneously
• Curiosity about technology and openness to learning new platforms
