To support a growing practice, the part-time Maryland Licensed Fractional Controller will manage the monthly close process, produce actionable financial statements, and ensure compliance for a diverse portfolio of clients in a remote contract role.
Key responsibilities
- Own the monthly close process for clients, ensuring accuracy and audit-readiness
- Produce financial statements and management reports for client decision-making
- Monitor internal controls and support compliance for GovCon and nonprofit clients
Required qualifications
- 5 to 12 years of accounting or finance experience with close ownership
- Hands-on experience with financial reporting, reconciliations, and internal controls
- Exposure to GovCon compliance or nonprofit accounting is a strong plus
- Comfortable working across multiple client environments simultaneously
- Curious about technology and open to learning new platforms
