Job Summary
Offering a part-time opportunity, a Maryland Licensed Hospice Veterinarian will provide in-home hospice, palliative care, and euthanasia services, focusing on compassionate end-of-life care for pets while enjoying professional autonomy and a flexible schedule.
Key responsibilities
- Provide in-home pet hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, and compassionate euthanasia services
- Independently travel to scheduled appointments and practice effectively in a mobile veterinary care environment
- Educate and guide pet families through quality-of-life decisions and the euthanasia process with empathy and clear communication
Required qualifications
- Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD), BVMS, or equivalent veterinary medical degree
- Active veterinary license in the state(s) where services will be provided
- Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to safely travel between appointments
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with empathy during sensitive conversations
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted and assist with weights up to 100 pounds
