Job Summary

Offering a unique opportunity for compassionate veterinarians, the part-time Maryland Licensed Hospice Veterinarian will provide in-home hospice, palliative care, and euthanasia services to pet families in Glen Burnie and Elkridge, Maryland, with flexible scheduling and no non-compete agreements.

Key responsibilities

• Provide in-home pet hospice, palliative care, quality-of-life support, and compassionate euthanasia services
• Independently travel to scheduled appointments and practice effectively in a mobile veterinary care environment
• Educate and guide pet families through quality-of-life decisions and the euthanasia process with empathy and professionalism

Required qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM), Veterinary Medical Doctor (VMD), BVMS, or equivalent veterinary medical degree
• Active veterinary license in the state(s) where services will be provided or eligibility to obtain one
• Valid U.S. driver's license and ability to travel between appointments
• Demonstrated ability to communicate empathetically during sensitive conversations regarding end-of-life care
• Availability for rotational weekend scheduling as required by the position
