Maryland Licensed Medical Director

Job Summary

Seeking a Maryland Licensed Medical Director, the full-time remote position will manage case management, disease management, and utilization review while ensuring operational excellence for a Medicaid Managed Care organization.

Key responsibilities:

• Participate in the development and execution of case management and population health management strategies
• Conduct daily reviews of inpatient cases, precertification requests, and emergency department visits
• Collaborate with nurse case managers and other associates to ensure adherence to Utilization Management criteria

Required qualifications:

• MD or DO degree with board certification in Primary Care
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in Primary Care
• Health plan experience preferred
• Must reside in the DC/Maryland area with active DC and Maryland licensure
• Demonstrated commitment to ongoing clinical excellence and professional development
