Job Summary

Coordinating the prior authorization and patient assistance program process for medications, the full-time Maryland Licensed Medication Access Coordinator will ensure timely access to prescribed therapies while collaborating with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients in a remote work environment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate prior authorization and patient assistance program processes to facilitate patient access to medications
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance companies to gather necessary documentation and information
• Analyze and review requests to ensure compliance with insurance guidelines and hospital policies

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Registration with the Maryland Board of Pharmacy required upon hire
• CPhT certification required by the PTCB or NHA
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in pharmacy medical billing and/or insurance verification
