Job Summary

Coordinating the prior authorization and patient assistance program processes for medications, the full-time Maryland Licensed Medication Access Coordinator will ensure timely patient access to prescribed therapies while collaborating with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and patients remotely.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate prior authorization and patient assistance program processes for medications
• Analyze and review requests to ensure compliance with insurance guidelines and hospital policies
• Engage in continuous process improvement to enhance efficiency and patient satisfaction

Required qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Registration with the Maryland Board of Pharmacy required upon hire
• CPhT certification required by the PTCB or NHA
• 2+ years of experience in pharmacy medical billing and/or insurance verification
