Seeking a Maryland Licensed Orthopedic Reviewer, this fully remote 1099 contractor position requires conducting independent Utilization Reviews with a commitment of just 1-2 hours per week.
Key responsibilities
- Conduct independent Utilization Reviews for orthopedic surgery cases
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and company policies regarding patient confidentiality and security
- Engage in peer-to-peer conversations during daytime hours as needed
Required qualifications
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) with a current Maryland medical license
- Current Board Certification in Orthopedic Surgery
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, including residency
- Availability during daytime hours for peer-to-peer discussions
